At the Jewish Food Festival, the biggest attraction of the day is the food!
Featuring unlimited food samples of traditional and modern foods prepared by restaurants, caterers, and members of the Gates synagogue family.
$20 Adults/$8 kids 13-17yrs/FREE for kids 12 and under.
Get $5 off when you bring 3 non-perishable food items to be donated to the Northeast Regional Food Bank

Friday, March 24, 2017 Shabbat
Shabbat Dinner at 5:30 p.m: Attend Shabbat Dinner with Tina Wasserman hosted by Mindy and Jesse Holland. Dine on foods from Tina's cookbook. Dinner is limited to 20 people. Minimum donation of $50 per person. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Mindy at firstname.lastname@example.org. (space for only 4 more people).
Shabbat Dinner is a fundraiser to benefit Congregation Gates of Heaven.
Shabbat Services at 7:00 p.m: Tina will speak at the Shabbat services and have a meet and greet during Oneg Shabbat. Oneg that night will feature some of the items from Tina's cookbook, Entree to Judaism, such as caponata, cappuccino brownies, tunisian carrots, poppy seed-almond bundt cake, and deluxe noodle kugel. Free and open to the public.
Saturday, March 25, 2017 Cooking Workshop
An Evening with Tina Wasserman: Tina will hold an intimate hands on cooking workshop at the home of Michelle Ostrelich and Howard Schlossberg of Niskayuna. Tina will share cooking secrets as we prepare 10 unforgettable recipes focusing on Moroccan and Mediterranean foods. This hands on cooking workshop is limited to 20 people. The donation is $180/person or $300/couple and includes the workshop, food, and wine. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Mindy at email@example.com (space for only 2 more people).

Jewish Culinary Heritage with guest speaker Tina Wasserman at 11:00 a.m: Tina will speak at 11:00 a.m. in the temple sanctuary as the opening event for the festival. Admission is included in the festival admission. Please arrive a little early as the lecture will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Festival Hours: 12:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m.

- Family activities such as Make a Coconut Pyramid and Sweets Galore for Passover with Liora Kelman.
- Simcha Meals for Kids (a Jewish Happy Meal) there will be nut free and high kid appeal options, because not all kids like chopped liver.
- Children's activities including sing-alongs, Passover crafts, creating Israeli foods and more.
- Partnering with Northeast Regional Food Bank to help provide needed food to underprivileged families in our area. Bring a min of 3 food items and recieve $5 off the price of admission.
