Day 3, Friday, February 12, 2016: EXPLORING TEL AVIV

BreakfastStart the day with a visit to Latrun, Israels outdoor armed corps museum, where we explore the tanks and artillery used by the Israeli Defense Force throughout the countrys historyWe continue to Independence Hall, site of the 1948 signing of Israels Declaration of IndependenceStop to see the artists and entertainers filling the streets at Nachalat BinyaminEvening Shabbat services and Shabbat dinner at ModiinOvernight Tel Aviv.

Day 4, Saturday, February 13, 2016: SHABBAT SHALOM!

BreakfastThis morning we visit the Ayalon Institute where we discover the underground ammunition factory that played a pivotal role in Israels fight for independenceWe continue back up the coast to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the regionSee the excavations of the crusaders’ city, the aqueduct and the amphitheater that has been re-stored as a concert venueContinue to a Druze village for a special lunchStop in the artists colony at Ein HodReturn to Tel AvivOvernight Tel Aviv.

Day 5, Sunday February 14, 2016: THE COASTAL VIEWS

BreakfastDrive north to Haifa for a panoramic view from Mt. Carmel, including the Bahai Temple and Persian Gar-densWe visit the former internment camp at Atlit, where we encounter the harsh experience of illegal immigration during the British MandateTravel to Akko, where we explore the Crusader-era fortifications and British Prison as we learn about this historically important portNext we travel to Rosh Hanikra where we discover the chalk-cliff grottoes carved out by the Mediterranean waters over timeContinue to the Galilee for dinner and overnight at our Kibbutz in the Galilee.

Day 6, Monday, February 15, 2016: MYSTICISM AND THE GOLAN

Breakfast Morning jeep tour of the Golan Heights, passing by old Syrian bunkers along the way Take in the views stretching far into Syria from atop Har BentalTry your hand at chocolate making and learn from the experts in a delicious and fun experience at the Dekarina Chocolate factory in Ein ZivanNext visit the mystical city of Safed, where we view the beautiful ancient synagogues and walk through the Artists QuarterDinner and overnight at our Kibbutz in the Galilee.

Day 7, Tuesday, February 16, 2016: TO JERUSALEM

BreakfastDrive south on our way to Jerusalem, stopping in Beit Shean and Beit Alpha to view the ancient ruins and intricate mosaicsUpon arrival in Jerusalem, we stop atop Mt. Scopus to recite a special Shhekiyanu! blessing over-looking the City of GoldTonight we enjoy a fascinating tour of the Western Wall TunnelsOvernight Jerusalem

Day 8, Wednesday, February 17, 2016: THE NEW CITY

Breakfast This morning we visit Yad Lakashish, a Senior Citizens Center where residents produce beautiful arts and craftsContinue to Yad Vashem, Israels memorial to the Holocaust, where we view the many moving exhibitions, including the Hall of Names and the Avenue of the Righteous Among the NationsAt Mt. Herzl we visit the gravesites of Theodore Herzl, Golda Meir and Yitzhak RabinContinue to the Mt. Herzl Museum, we learn about the life and work of the great Zionist visionaryThis afternoon we visit the Hadassah Hospital, where we view the amazing Cha-gall WindowsWe pass by the Knesset, Israels parliament building, where we have a unique photo opportunity by the amazing outdoor bronze menorah sculpture…Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 9, Thursday, February 18, 2016: ESHKOL

Breakfast Today we spend a very exciting day in Eshkol, our sister city We meet the people and see what life in Israel is like on a day to day basis… At the school we see the children… The salad route we see the agriculture and en-joy lunch… We see the overlook to Gaza and the new settlement built for the settlers moved from Gaza… Greet the Israeli soldiers as they return to their outpostsStop at the shop of an artist turning bombs into beautiful sculp-ture Return to JerusalemOvernight Jerusalem.

Day 10, Friday, February 19, 2016: MASADA

BreakfastShabbat services at Har ElRe-gather at 1pm to walk to the David Citadel Museum which traces the long and turbulent history of Jerusalem using audiovisual presentations, models, maps, holograms and videosWe enjoy a walking tour of the Old City including the Cardo, Jewish Quarter, Christian Quarter and Arab Quarter Farewell dinner together this evening before we transfer to the airport for our flight back to the United States.
