The Tent of Abraham:
Interfaith Story Circle and Potluck Supper
This year’s theme is…
Stories of Appreciating and Caring for Our Earth
Wednesday, January 23, 2019
Have you ever stopped and found yourself gazing in awe at the beauty of the natural world?
Perhaps a stately tree or a blue sky has caught your attention. Maybe you have marveled at how winter holds the hope of spring? There are many stories about nature in our various faith traditions, cultures, and our personal lives. Is there one that has touched you in a special way?
If so, Gates of Heaven and the Interfaith Story Circle of With Our Voices, Inc. invites the public to come to share their stories and listen to others at the annual Tent of Abraham program.
Gates of Heaven will host this year’s program, which is facilitated by the Interfaith Story Circle, a program of With Our Voices, Inc. The evening begins at 6:15 p.m. with a vegetarian potluck supper, then story sharing from 7:15 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Stories of Appreciating and Caring for Our Earth is this year’s theme.
Zipporah Harris (Jewish), Sabeen Durrani (Muslim), and Bill Roylance (Christian) are this year’s guest storytellers.
This program is free and open to the public. You can register and find out more details about the potluck supper* by contacting Anne Snyder at 518-869-5247 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
(*Note: Gates of Heaven is a nut allergy conscious facility and requests that no ingredients exposed to or containing nuts be included in any food brought into the temple.)
