Mitzvah Day

18 Years of Service in Our Community!

Mitzvah Day is about the spirit of volunteerism and giving back that has come to be one of the hallmarks of CGOH. This past November 4, 2018 we celebrated our 18th annual Mitzvah Day when more than 220 volunteers showed up and got to work on 24 separate projects in our community. We raked leaves, made stew, sewed, sorted, donated, read, fixed, spruced, clipped, baked, Zumba’d, and recycled, and we provided hope and help.

And what better way to ring in the Hanukkah season? Even during the darkest part of the year, we were and will continue to be the light- in our community, to our neighbors, and to those who most need to see light in the darkness. Thank you to everyone who participated in making this year’s Mitzvah Day a tremendous success!
