Eleanor Roosevelt said, “I think that somehow, we learn who we really are and then live with that decision.” Neil and Jane Golub truly live by their decision of who they are as individuals and as a family. They have worked tirelessly to support causes that bring about positive change and hope throughout the Capital Region.
Schenectady has been home to the Golub family for generations and their name is synonymous with caring, community-mindedness, and philanthropy. True humanitarians in every sense of the word, Neil and Jane have taken on many leadership roles with organizations that help others with health care, childcare, education, combating prejudice and bullying, and more. They have guided organizations including Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Telethon, St. Jude’s, Ellis and Bellevue Women’s Hospitals, Breast Cancer Research, Schenectady Day Nursery, Schenectady Museum, A World of Difference, Jewish National Fund, United Jewish Federation, the Schenectady Jewish Community Center, Union College, the renaissance of Schenectady, Double H, Wildwood School, and Special Olympics… just to name a few.
Please mark your calendar for Saturday, October 13, 2012 when Neil and Jane Golub will be presented with the prestigious Rabbi Michael M. Szenes Humanitarian Award in recognition of their distinguished service to our community.
Please join us in honoring Neil and Jane for all the positive change they have brought to the region and the hope they have given to so many by placing a congratulatory message or ad in the event tribute book. The gala event will be held at The Desmond beginning at 6:00 p.m. and we look forward to your celebrating with us.
